In an increasingly cluttered and competitive marketplace, charities and causes need new ways to generate enthusiasm and loyalty, acquire new and diversified supporters, and raise much-needed funds. As traditional forms of cause marketing and corporate alliances continue to evolve, Cause Placement believes that creating impact and awareness through strategic entertainment alliances will be a strong point of differentiation in the marketplace.

Likewise, entertainment properties and brands have similar needs. Filmmakers, bands, authors, and products must find unique ways to connect and create affinity with consumers, audiences, and fans, creating the perfect storm of opportunity.

Cause Placement is an in-depth exploration of strategies and initiatives that create mutually-beneficial matches between causes and entertainment content – embedding messaging and marketing into the influential channels of entertainment including movies, television, celebrity activation, publishing, music and gaming.

The Cause Placement website is a convergence of news and current conversation focused on partnerships between entertainment and social good. We are excited to serve as not only a source for what is happening and relevant in these industries but also as a curator of new and meaningful relationships.

Cause Placement’s mission is to provide both entertainment and non profit industries with resources that enrich relationships and spark new and exciting partnerships. Throughout 2013, you’ll see our content and coverage grow as well as recognize new opportunities to learn from experts in their prospective fields about what is working from them and gain valuable and creative take aways.

An annual focus for us is the Cause Placement: Entertaining Good event. Last year, Cause Placement 2012: Entertaining Good, was an overwhelming success and registration for our 2013 event on October 10th in NYC is now live! Cause Placement 2013 will go even further to connect entertainment and causes, and adapt to the fast-paced and constantly changing market and brand environments.

Cause Placement will be hosting monthly webinars throughout the summer featuring experts who are paving the way to successful entertainment and non profit partnerships. We’ll be curating intimate networking opportunities via morning coffee meet ups and brown bag lunches, focussed around cause placement and featuring partners who are pioneers in this landscape. Stay tuned for more news regarding our upcoming events as well as the forthcoming launch of a dedicated service to leverage relationships between non profits and entertainment.
